In English

Hämeenkadun Appro is Finland’s largest and most beautiful student event, held annually in Tampere since 1982. It attracts over 15000 students from across Finland. The event includes a pub crawl, various activities, the event area at Keskustori (Central Square), and an after-party. It’s a great way for students to socialize and have fun together!

During Hämeenkatu Appro, participants visit predetermined bars, restaurants, and other venues in the city center of Tampere to collect stamps in their appro passes. After gathering the required number of stamps, participants earn a degree corresponding to the number of stamps collected in their pass.

Bring along

  • Clothing according to the weather.
  • Water bottle.
  • Leave big backbags at home. The cloack room in the after parties is meant for coats only.
  • Nokia Areena’s cloack room for backpacks is located outside.

Transportation on Appro day

  • The City Center is easy to reach with public transportation. Routes and schedules can be found here: Nysse
  • The walk from railway station and from bus station to City Center is fairly short.
  • During the event, transportation must happen on foot.

At Nokia Arena’s afterparty, there are various activities to enjoy!

At Nokia Arena, cash is not accepted!

Bring along:
After-party wristband. Entry to Nokia Arena only with the wristband.

Identification

  • The event is for individuals aged 18 and over. Identification will be checked for everyone attending the after-party. The name on the identification does not need to match the name on the after-party ticket.

Do not bring to the Arena:

  • Your own drinks or food. All personal drinks and food found during security checks will be removed, including from backpacks.
  • Do not bring metal bottles, glass products, portable speakers, sharp objects, or products containing compressed gas.
  • Please avoid bringing backpacks or large bags: All individuals with backpacks will be directed to their own cloakroom queue.

We recommend leaving your belongings in Cloakroom 1, located to the left of Entrance A. Large backpacks and bags must be left in the cloakroom. The cloakrooms are supervised, but valuables are left at your own risk. For example, it’s best to leave branded or high-value items at home.

Access to the cloakroom:

  • The left-hand doors of Entrance A lead directly to Cloakroom 1. After dropping off your belongings, continue straight through the cloakroom to exit on the other side. The cloakroom cannot be accessed through any other doors.

Retrieving items from the cloakroom:

  • When collecting your belongings, walk in the opposite direction to exit directly outside.

If you don’t need the cloakroom, the smoothest entry is via the right-hand doors of Entrance A or through Entrance B.

Entry to the stands is via the section indicated on your wristband, but seating is open. You can choose any seat within that section. After the concert, you can move from the stands down to the floor area if there is space available.

Access to the floor area is only permitted with a floor wristband. There are no water taps on the floor level. Bottled water is available for purchase. Tap water is available at the arena’s restaurants for 1 €. Moving from the floor to the stands is possible after the JVG concert, if space allows.

You may bring a small bag, roughly the size of an A4 sheet of paper.

Please note that bringing your own food or drinks into Nokia Arena is strictly prohibited. Personal drinks cannot be stored in the cloakroom either. Cash payments are not accepted at Nokia Arena.

Misuse of wristbands or unauthorized access to the floor area will result in removal from Nokia Arena and cancellation of your wristband.
